As an IT EDI/Integration Specialist you are responsible to build and maintain software integrations across various platforms for our company. In this role, you will identify, plan, and execute integration strategies, create tools for other developers, ensure ongoing monitoring, and maintain as well as optimize your builds.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Devising and reporting on integration development plans and strategies
  • Development of asynchronous messaging architectures, rule-based systems, and network architectures
  • Coordination of activities with other IT engineers to ensure that integration projects are completed on time
  • Checking and correcting conflicts in data configurations and overlaps
  • Maintenance of the integrity and smooth functioning of the company's integration architecture
  • Analysis and improvement of current system integrations and migration strategies
  • Identifying, debugging, and advising on system errors or architecture issues
  • Assisting with the management of organizational databases and retrieval systems
  • Creation and maintenance of trading partner profiles in translation software
  • Establishment of authentication and encryption if necessary
  • Communication of trading partner-specific technical issues to development project leader
  • Incorporation of audit and control procedures within trading partner profiles, translation of set maps and interface files

Profile

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
  • 3+ experience as a programmer or computer scientist
  • Excellent knowledge of two or more programming languages (C#,  Java, T-SQL, or others)
  • Good programming skills that relate to code development, maintenance, and implementation
  • Interpersonal skills along with the ability to work in a team
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to perform tasks independently
  • Good presentation and report-writing skills
  • Experience with VANs, ISPs and Internet security packages
  • Understanding of EDI standards
