The Product Marketing Specialist acts as a key link between Product Management of Apparel, Backpacks and Footwear and International Marketing, managing the flow of information from product ideation to consumer communication. This role involves translating technical product features and sustainability topics into compelling marketing content across various channels, including B2B and B2C tools, packaging, POS materials, and product training.
Tasks & responsibilities
Own the information flow between Product Managers Softgoods and International Marketing
Working in close collaboration with the product & CSR managers and having a constant exchange from the product idea to the B2B and finally B2C
Translating (technical) products' USP’s and CSR topics into Product Marketing/Communication starting from sell-in tools (product description, workbook/website content, presentations, product overviews) to Sell-out (POS tools, techbook, product training, etc.) in collaboration with the International Marketing Team
Explain the products’ USP's and develop the right communication tools for all applications including packaging and point of sale
Collaborating with the marketing team in the development of seasonal campaigns
Brief the marketing team and collaborate in the creation of product specific content (product pictures, videos, product & technology descriptions) and ensure it is used in a consistent way in the different marketing communication channels
Responsible of the “on product” communication like packaging, hangtag, user manuals etc.
Owner of product data: Insert and update product specific information in the relevant database
Strategic development of product marketing concepts: Provide ideas as well as opportunities to assist and enhance the product marketing strategy
Analyze competitors (product, price, activity) as well as market needs and identify future trends in close collaboration with the brand
Work with the external graphic agency for product pictures, renders, hangtags and packaging
Prepare and hold product trainings for Sales Reps and Retail Staff
Responsible of managing Salesmen Sample Set
Support the PM Team in the organization of internal (sales) meetings and product presentations
Coordinate marketing and content integration into product development and align Marketing, Sales, and Product teams for clear communication and go-to-market success
Lead Development Process of Promo Styles / Gadget for marketing use
Support in the monitoring of project timelines
Profile
Degree in Economics/Marketing/Communication or similar
Passionate about Trail Running and Ski Touring / Outdoor
2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the sporting goods sector
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Very good English skills and German or Italian skills
Organizational skills and experience in time and project management
Travel required: 30%
