YOUR RESPONSABILITIES

- Cost Modeling: Develop and maintain precise cost models covering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Cost Estimation: Provide accurate cost estimates for new designs and engineering changes.
- Data Analysis: Analyze cost data to identify cost drivers and trends and develop strategies for cost reduction.
- Supplier Collaboration: Collaborate with procurement to negotiate favorable supplier terms and evaluate quotes for competitiveness.
- Value Engineering: Facilitate value engineering workshops to promote innovative and cost-effective design alternatives.
- Team Training: Train and mentor teams on cost models, fostering a cost-conscious culture within the organization.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Closely collaborate with R&D to identify and drive technical initiatives for material cost reduction, including support for new product development
- Analyze production processes and bills of materials to uncover technical optimization opportunities and cost-saving measures
- Organize and lead innovation workshops and cost-benefit analyses involving suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders
- Ensure alignment between technical specifications, Commodity strategies, and evolving market trends
- Support operational units in harmonizing scopes of supply/services in line with the global sourcing strategies
- Provide technical and commercial input in development and production projects, including benchmarking, offer analysis, and identification of saving potentials
- Evaluate and support supplier development from a technical perspective, together with cross-functional internal departments, to ensure optimal supplier selection
- Coordinate technology scouting and adoption of innovative production approaches to strengthen competitiveness and value creation
