The Laimburg Research Centre is the leading research institute for agriculture and food quality in South Tyrol (Italy). For the ERDF research project PROSEED “Research into drying and fermentation technologies for the valorization of innovative plant protein raw materials for food and agriculture“ (ERDF 2021-2027, n. 1080, CUP B57H24003770007) the working groups “Laboratory for Flavours and Metabolites” and the “Laboratory of NMR Spectroscopy” is looking for a:

Your Responsibilities
- Chemical characterization: Analysis and characterization of extracts obtained from agricultural products and by-products derived from a patented protein extraction process
- Instrumental analysis: Application of LC-MS, GC-MS and NMR techniques to determine chemical and metabolomic profiles
- Data analysis: Evaluation and interpretation of analytical data, including chemometric approaches
- Scientific reporting: Preparation of reports, presentations and scientific publications
- Project collaboration: Active participation in project meetings and interdisciplinary exchange within the research teams
Your Profile
- Completion university studies of at least four years attested by a diploma in chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology, natural science or similar
- Very Good knowledge of Italian or German (C1 level)
Desirable
- Publication record with particular focus on metabolomics and natural products
- Knowledge in analytical chemistry
- Experience with LC-MS/GS-MS and NMR
- Experience with data analysis and chemometrics
- Publication record with particular focus on metabolomics and natural products
- PhD, Post-Doc experience or relevant work experience
- Good organizational and communication skills, High motivation, ability to work independently, team-working skills
