- Cost Estimation: Provide accurate cost estimates for new designs and engineering changes.
- Data Analysis: Analyze cost data to identify cost drivers and trends and develop strategies for cost reduction.
- Supplier Collaboration: Collaborate with procurement to negotiate favorable supplier terms and evaluate quotes for competitiveness.
- Value Engineering: Facilitate value engineering workshops to promote innovative and cost-effective design alternatives.
- Team Training: Train and mentor teams on cost models, fostering a cost-conscious culture within the organization.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Analytic and Quantitative Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems using quantitative methods.
- Cost Engineering Deployment: Skill in deploying cost engineering effectively and influencing teams.
- Educational Background: A degree in electronic engineering.
- Component Expertise: Expertise in active and passive components is essential.
- Project Management: Proficiency in project management methods.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in product development with a focus on cost/value engineering.
- Business Knowledge: Broad business knowledge for effective cross-discipline interactions.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities to drive change and challenge the organization.
- Practical Knowledge: Practical knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes.
