YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement the company strategy in terms of Battery technology selection and integration
- Define the guidelines and procedures to be followed for integration of new battery products
- Ensure the development of the necessary tool and documentation for the battery integration
- Act as the primary technical liaison with battery suppliers, focusing on the integration of new products and ensuring that all relevant documentation is up-to-date, complete and compliant with regulatory standards
- Scout, evaluate and establish partnerships with new battery suppliers, focusing on innovation and quality
- Support the procurement team in drafting of supply contracts and the management of battery warranties
- Support the development and enhancement of in-house battery testing facilities, understanding the company needs for integration of battery
- Audit, assess, and maintain relationships with battery manufacturers and suppliers; define test procedures and criteria for battery validation
- Contribute to the design and improvement of battery performance and aging modeling tools, enabling accurate analysis and forecasting
- Ensure the full implementation of HSE procedures in the battery laboratory by adapting processes to operational needs and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Master’s degree in engineering in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material science or similar
- Several years of professional experience in the Energy Storage field
- Proven experience in developing, testing, or production of batteries for stationary or automotive applications, with particular expertise in battery integration for Energy Storage Systems
- Strong knowledge of electrochemistry fundamentals and expertise in Lithium-ion battery technologies
- Familiarity with battery modeling techniques and industry standards for stationary battery applications
- In-depth understanding of safety protocols specific to Lithium-ion batteries
- Proficiency with laboratory test instrumentation for battery testing and performance evaluation
- Ability to interact with stakeholder at executive management level
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a problem-solving mindset, adaptability to changes, and prioritization abilities
- Fluency in English
