YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using PHP and Laravelm, taking full ownership of the process from architecture and design to deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement
- Build and enhance intuitive and user-friendly front-end features using Vue.js and Vuetify, collaborating closely with the Product Owner to deliver polished, accessible and high-performance user experiences
- Design, model and optimise data storage solutions across PostgreSQL and MongoDB, ensuring efficient schema design, indexing strategies and query performance as the platform scales
- Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure (including EC2 and S3) and on-premises environments to ensure reliability, security and consistent deployment processes across all systems
- Promote clean architecture and SOLID principles throughout the codebase to contribute to code quality, through peer reviews, technical discussions and the implementation of best practices
- Advocate for a Test-Driven Development (TDD) approach by creating comprehensive unit, integration and end-to-end tests to ensure system stability and enable frequent, reliable releases
- Identify, analyse and resolve performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges in application code and infrastructure to proactively drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate actively in sprint planning, design workshops and retrospectives, while mentoring junior developers and contributing to the evolution of engineering standards and best practices.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Solid hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel, including Eloquent ORM, queues, service providers, and the development of clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Strong front-end development experience with Vue.js; experience with Vuetify or a similar component framework is highly desirable
- Good working knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB, with a solid understanding of data modelling, schema design, indexing, and query optimization
- Hands-on experience with Git, modern development workflows, and CI/CD pipelines
- Independent, solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly motivated team player with excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Italian and/or German is considered a strong advantage

- Total compensation: € 51.000-€ 77.000 including 20% variable bonus based on goal achievement

The compensation range provided is based on the current scope and location of the role. Should the position's responsibilities, seniority level, or location differ during the recruitment process, the applicable compensation range may be adjusted accordingly, in line with local market conditions and internal compensation frameworks.
